The Nipponbashi Street Festa is a great cosplay gathering that is held in Osaka's Denden town, a place once know for electronics but now more so for anime, gaming, and maid cafes.
There were hundreds of people dressed in costume and many many more with cameras.
It was a bit like this:

Good costumes get a lot of attention!
However, in spite of the crowds it's possible to get portraits of the people in costumes:
