Nipponbashi Street Festa 2016 日本橋ストリートフェスタ 2016 第12回

The 12th annual Nipponbashi Street Festa.
Much like the years before, there were many cosplayers and even more photographers and spectators choking the streets.  In Japanese blocking the streets off for pedestrians only is called "歩行者天国" or Pedestrian Heaven, though this day it would be more accurate to take Sartre's words and rename it to "歩行者地獄" or Pedestrian Hell.

This is not a busy section of the crowd, it was all like this:
That said there were still many oportunties to get some good shots:
Ironman

Minecraft guy.
Creeper

Character from Biohazard/Resident Evil
Great detail!

Steampunk artisan: she and her husband run a business making steampunk accessories for which they had set up a pop up store for the festival, very well made stuff!

Got her eye on you!

Some of the more recent Kamen Rider characters:
Spectre, Nekrom, Wizard, Ghost, ?

Fantastic umbrella!

Going to the festival with the grandkid.

What a big axe you have?!

No idea what character this is, but I am very happy to have gotten the shot with no people in the background.

Yuna from FFX-2

Mariokart balloons!

I love to shoot the next three (ok, maybe all of them) in a studio or a background that wasn't a festival:

Yokai Watch! Jibanyan (Self-Matyred Cat) and Fuyunyan (Floaty cat)

Out of the Vault.  The Nuka-Cola was exceptionally well done, they even distressed the label.
