The New Aquarium in Kyoto.
One of the main exhibits at this aquarium are the Giant Salamanders.
They really are giants too averaging between 1m and 1.5m in length.
I think they are cute too, maybe it's the stubby fingers on their toddler sized hands.
Moray Eel, proud owner of pharygeal jaws, just like the xenomorphs from Alien.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7C7-1UecmOA6wdbzUZNSTbNG-1n4NzOFr10fx2WegG4JnxUoktWq3OrlrM6b6cK23WZLWtokjwyMGNUH5OtI-MFrex4c_klpfKnb_mfCp7uq_fhbEFlFF2Hu4gyLbXenJFlfSgRu9Yao/s640/IMG_2166-1.jpg)

There was also a very nice jellyfish display.
My favourite living fossil the Nautilus.
The other main attraction was the dolphin show.
