ROR III

This past Saturday's Raugh out Roud (ROR) featured the stand-up comedy of Tony Romani, Kwame Alexander, Edd Daggers, Zach Strickland and Mimi U.  All the comedians were very good and I think you should see them when you get a chance!

At the beginning of the year, two of my close friends were married.  I was honoured to have been asked to photograph the ceremony for them.  A mix of Japanese and American traditions, and some new traditions of their own, made for a thoroughly entertaining and moving celebration.  These are some of the highlights:

 

Mt. Nijo - 二上山

Last Friday was the end of my most recent contract for teaching English at a high school in Osaka.

On this day the first year students climbed one of the local mountains, the two peaks of the mountain giving it its name: Nijo-san.  On the mountain is a beautiful cedar forest.

Possibly the best last day of a contract I have had.
